This song is a social commentary on how people are so easily distracted and obsessed with things like technology that they forget to live in the moment. It also comments on the preoccupation with the 24 hour news cycle that keeps a lot of people feeling on edge. This song is about breaking away from these modern temptations and being your own person, thinking and acting for yourself.

I won’t do what I’m told, not because I’m bold
