Stories 03:53
STORIES Don’t tell me cos you can Make every word seem true Distancing me from you Don’t tell me cos you can It’s in the way you move You feel obliged to prove Why do you keep on telling me stories I hate it when you’re telling me stories When will you stop telling me, telling me stories Day after day Don’t tell me cos you can Make all the world seem right Make all the lights shine bright Don’t tell me cos you can Don’t you mess with my last ray of hope Why do you keep on telling me stories I hate it when you’re telling me stories When will you stop telling me, telling me stories Night after night Each time you lead me astray I look back with regret in my eye One by one I expose all your lies Is this how we communicate The search for new places to hide You know that two wrongs will never make a right Don’t tell me cos you can Don’t tell me, don’t tell me

Project 1 04:16
PROJECT 1 I keep wondering why, I bother to look at the sky The news keeps telling me it’s falling down Am I living a lie, because I don’t worry every day About the things that I can’t control I won’t do what I’m told, not because I’m bold But because I do what’s best for me Keep your thoughts to yourself, I’m not impressed by endless wealth Your patronising tone is fucking rude I can’t hear anything because everyone’s talking All the noise just blends into one Millions with nothing to say, shouting it every day Why on earth should we care Trying leaving your phone at home, and walking on your own See if your troubles cut in half The glass might be half full, stop assuming the worst is true Try smiling just because you can

Friends 03:06
FRIENDS If we could be friends I know that things could be different If we could be friends I’d take back all the things I said I’d talk to you again Move on, forget the things you did If we could be friends I’d know you and your friends again I’m wondering why We can’t be in the same damn room and I don’t know why There’s so much hate coming from you We’ve both moved on since then Our time was good, we had it all If we could be friends I’d talk to you and your friends again It’s not like I want anything from you Just wouldn’t mind making things smooth I hope that if I can forgive you Neither one of us needs to move If we could be friends If we could stand each others’ face If we could be friends Then we could go to the same place I’d let you in my life If you could forget all the things I did If we could be friends You could call and that would be alright If we, if we could be friends (if we could be friends) I’d be friends with you and your friends again!

CRASH AND BURN Rolling, rolling up the hill I could still fall and tumble down Just say the first words that pop in your head I somehow doubt that they will be profound Could you ever satiate me Could you make me be so full? One single person is never enough My emptiness runs deep Some things just come naturally Others we have to try for I’ve got holes in every pair of jeans Spilled milk’s not worth crying for When did life get so extreme Weighed down by all of our first world problems Is there more than being scene Is there more than self-created dramas We don’t know other ways of being Our cashed up lives our burden One single person is never enough Our emptiness runs deep And I believe we’ll get there slowly Get there slowly Slow and steady Cos this fire’s burning in me And I don’t want to Crash and burn Crash and burn Crash and burn Crash and burn Will we start to get somewhere cos I feel like this is getting draining Will we start showing that we care or will we just keep on fucking complaining? You could never satiate me No, you could never make me be so full One single person is never enough My emptiness runs deep And I believe we’ll get there slowly Get there slowly Slow and steady

Keeper 04:20
KEEPER I been searching so long I been waiting all my life All my patience has gone Thank god finally, you have arrived As our life passes by We want to find someone to share Our life right now And into the future Will you have my back As we walk through life Will we stay on track Cos I want us to be together forever Walking side by side I know you’re on my side Feel love deep inside You’re on my side When I wake up with you Pinch myself to make sure this is true When I fall asleep with you Then I know you feel this way too The love we share So special and rare It’s over the top I hope it never stops Walking side by side I know you’re on my side Feel love deep inside You’re on my side You’re on my side (you’re on my side, you’re on my side) You’re on my side (you’re on my side, you’re on my side)

about

Craig:
I started working on some of the tracks that made it onto the EP back in 2015. Most of the music I had worked on up until that point had been organic live band type music, but I had just purchased a copy of Ableton Live so I could collaborate with a couple of musicians in Nashville who were using it, and I started to experiment with some of the soft synths and other elements of electronic music that Ableton does so well.

Stylistically I was drawing inspiration from the sounds of the 80s and early 90s, such as a lot of the early Eurythmics, Culture Club and the Human League. These are all bands that I felt had a pretty raw and transparent sound, albeit by using a lot of programmed drums and synths.

Misha:
Craig and I were in a band together in Perth, Icy Dice. He then had a few electronic songs, and gave them to me to write lyrics and melodies as a side project. We performed them a few times, but didn’t get around to recording before I moved to Melbourne. We wanted to complete the project so I recorded my vocals with a Producer over here, and sent them back to Craig to complete the EP.
